The Jurassic Coast - This is the name given to the area of coastline from the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset to Exmouth in East Devon. As an area rich in fossils and unique geology it has been nominated as a World Heritage Site.

UNESCO - Braunton Burrows

UNESCO Biosphere at Braunton Burrows
This is an area in North Devon that has been designated by UNESCO as a globally important site because of its biodiversity, sites of special scientific interest and areas of outstanding natural beauty. It also takes into account how the environment works in harmony with man and includes The Braunton Burrows, Northam Burrows and the Taw and Torridge estuary.
