The Carlyon Bay Hotel - St Austell

The Carlyon Bay Hotel has a long history of providing great escapes for those seeking rest and relaxation. Set in a marvellous cliff top location above Carlyon Bay, and with truly inspiring views, it's a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a taste of 4 star luxury and Cornish hospitality.

With 250 acres of secluded gardens and grounds, including our own Championship Golf Course, great leisure facilities, fine cuisine and a friendly welcome, The Carlyon Bay is much more than just a luxury Cornwall hotel. Whether you stay with us for a family holiday, a great winter escape, or a challenging golf break, we'll make sure your stay with us is everything you could wish for.

Golf is a big part of life at the Carlyon Bay and we specialise in golf breaks, where you can play a few rounds with friends or make it a golf tuition holiday with the help of our resident pros.

The fine sandy beach at Carlyon Bay is a short walk away, whilst a short drive will bring you to the surfing beaches of the North Cornwall coast. The amazing Eden Project and the fabulous gardens of Cornwall, such as Lanhydroc, Trebah, Helligan and Glendurgan. Bodmin moor are close by too, whilst Padstow, is just a short hop across the county. For the kids, Flambards theme park is a day out to remember, and great shopping at Truro is even closer.

If you like all things nautical then a visit to the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth will get the sails a fluttering, as will a visit to Charlestown Harbour, where you will often find tall ships at anchor. But for sheer drama then a visit to the haunted Jamaica Inn on Bodmin moor is hard to beat.
